Michael and Denise Jackson have been named as Duke and Duchess of the 2012 King Christopher XXXVII Mardi Gras Court.
Chief Warrant Officer 4 Michael Paul Jackson is the son of Paul and Andrea Jackson of Leesville, Louisiana. Mike is a 1987 graduate of Leesville High School. He obtained his associates degree from Northwestern State University. He joined the Army in 1991, and he and Denise married shortly afterward. He is currently in his 21st year of service in the United States Army as an aviator. Mike is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the United States Warrant Officer Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Knights of Columbus. Mike enjoys racing, as well as snowboarding and wakeboarding with his girls.
Denise Miller Jackson is a native of Gardner, Louisiana. She obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana in 1991. Denise is currently Vice President and Company Administrator for Professional Aeronautics Academy located at the Leesville City Airport. She has served as LEAP Tutor for Leesville Junior High School for the past three years. She instructs tap, step aerobics and Zumba at the Joan Kathey Dance Center, and she is owner/operator of JXN Lawncare.
Denise and Mike Jackson are the proud parents of two daughters; Amber Michelle, who is a graduate of Leesville High School and currently attends Northwestern State University and Emily Marie, who attends Leesville High School.
