Evans High School will be hosting its homecoming on Nov. 12. This year's festivities will honor all Evans graduates with special recognition for classes ending in 1.
The homecoming parade will begin at 2:30 p.m. and run from the Evans Congregational Methodist Youth Center on La. 111 to the Galilee Baptist Church on Bonner Road. Lineup for the parade will start at 2 p.m.; there is no reservation required, but no off-road vehicles are permitted in the parade.
A reception will be held for Evans alumni and their families following the parade. All alumni will be recognized at 5 p.m. in the new gymnasium; the 2011 homecoming court will be presented immediately afterwords.
The basketball games will begin at 6 p.m. as the Evans Eagles take on the Simpson Broncos. Between the games, the high school cheerleaders will have a special presentation.
Due to school improvement efforts, there will not be a homecoming dance this year.
