Funeral services for Yong Ae Margulin, of Leesville will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, Louisiana.  With Rev. Robert Eckerle officiating. Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10th, until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C. on January 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.

Mrs. Margulin passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at her residence in Leesville, Louisiana.
Mrs. Margulin is survived by: son, Lee Margulin of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Victoria Margulin of Pearland, TX; brothers, Song-Duk Yi, Song-Tae Yi and Song-Kwang Yi; grandson Samuel Werner of Pearland, TX.

Constance Miller, 83, passed from this life and went home on January 5, 2009 in DeRidder.
She is survived by her brother, Bobby Egan and wife Frances of Evans; sisters, Judith Cryer of Evans, Dorothy Littleton of Houston, Texas and Beverly Arnold and husband Clarence of Mena, Ark.; and sister- in-law, Pearl Loftin of Phoenix, Ariz.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009 beginning at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. (and) Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1p.m. at the Galilee Baptist Church of Evans. Funeral services will be held at Galilee Baptist Church of Evans, Jan. 8, 2009 at 1p.m. The minister officiating will be Brother David Richmond. Burial will follow in Evans Cemetery in Evans under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
 

Willie Bill Trotti passed from this life on January 4, 2009 in Shreveport.
He is survived by his brothers, Lawrence Trotti and wife Dean of Hornbeck, Douglas Trotti and wife Brenda of Evans, and Jimmy Trotti and wife Liz of Moss Bluff; sisters, Evilyn Tarrance of Shreveport and Judy Stine and husband Kerry of Mt Grove, Mo. and a host of nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Rose Lea Trotti.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 beginning at 3 p.m. until 9 p.m., and Wednesday, January 7, 2009, from 8 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel.
Minister officiating will be the Rev. Kenneth Baggs. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery of  Hornbeck under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.

 

Memorial services for Carl J. Brandon, Jr. 74 of Leesville will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, Louisiana with Father Kenneth Michiels will be officiating. 
Mr. Brandon passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at his home in Leesville, Louisiana. 
Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Knight of Columbus.  He worked in the Oil Field Industry and he loved to hunt.
He is survived by: his wife of fifty-four years Hazel Brandon of Leesville, Louisiana; sons Donald J. Brandon of Alvin, Texas and David M. Brandon of Morgan City, Louisiana; daughters Janet M. Beauxis of Leesville, Louisiana and Carol J. Hodges of Conroe, Texas; brother Jim Brandon of Idaho; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Mr. Brandon was preceded in death by his granddaughter Angie Marie Brandon.

Leona Stephens, 79, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2009, at a local healthcare facility.  She was born on May 23, 1929, in Leesville, the daughter of Albert and Lillie (Boswell) Davis.  Leona was a nurse’s aide and worked in nursing homes for many years. She enjoyed word games, puzzles, crocheting, and cooking for her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rosepine and loved to read her Bible.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin Stephens; brothers, Carl and Dee Davis; son, Dow Stephens; grandchildren, Jackie Bruce Smith, Jason Hogg, Melissa Asbill, and Brendan Jackson; she is survived by son, Steve Stephens and wife, Brandy, of Dayton; daughters, Beverley Vaughn and husband, Harold, of Old River-Winfree, Gayle Block and husband, Dave, of Baytown, Joan Whitlatch and husband, Jim, of El Paso, Pam Bell and husband, Bob, of San Antonio, Donna Hogg and husband, Jack, of Lott, and Janet Gerken and husband, Alan, of Dayton; sister, Lenora Nienstedt and husband, Byron; sister-in-law, Ineta Davis; grandchildren, Bruce and Brian Smith, Jimmy and John Whitlatch, Jaclyn Gonzalez, Hope Dow, Tiffany Jackson, Jason Hogg, Colby, Ryan, and Payton Stephens, and Becca Kershaw-Stephens; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carl H. Biasizzo, 52, of New Llano, passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2008 in his residence. Arrangements are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Carl was born in Germany and had lived most of his life in New Llano. He was retired from the U.S. Army.

Funeral Services for Dale Alan Wright, 57, of Rosepine will be Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Rosepine with Rev. Greg Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosepine Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Chaddick Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will be today, Dec. 28 from 3 until 9 p.m. at Chaddick Funeral Home and on Monday, Dec. 29 from 9 a.m. until noon.
Mr. Wright passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2008 at Beauregard Memorial Hospital.
A Vietnam Veteran, Mr. Wright had retired after 20 years with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Wright of Rosepine; two sons, Scot Alan Wright of Midwest City, Okla. and Terry Alan and wife LaDana Wright of Rosepine; six grandchildren, Brady, Carson, Justin, Kade, Alley and Briana; three sisters, Linda and husband John Short of Oklahoma City, Okla., Delores Wright of Edmond, Okla. and Diana and husband David Standifer of Norman, Okla.; two brothers-in-law, J.R.  Petty of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Howard and wife Robin Petty of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister-in-law, Tina Smith of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and his father, David Wright of Shawnee, Okla. 
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Wright; his sister, Carolyn Wright; and his grandson, Austin Wright.

Funeral services for Oliver V. Davis will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemtery in Leesville. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. Friday until 9 p.m. in the funeral home and then from 8 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
Mr. Davis, 80, of Leesville was a native of Glenrose, Texas. He joined the military in 1948 and served 22 years in the U.S. Army. He served during the Korean Conflict, the Viet Nam War and completed tours of Germany and France. After retirement from the Army he worked civil service at Ft. Polk until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Lieselotte Davis of Leesville; one son and daughter in law: Don and Elizabeth Davis of Leesville; three daughters and sons-in-law: Martha Davis of Leesville, Rosemarie D. and Daniel G. Calk of Monroe, Lisa Marie and Bobby Reynoso of North Richland Hills, Texas; one brother and sister in law: Erwin and Wilma Davis of Oxford, Miss; one sister and brother-in-Law: Mary Ann and George Winkler of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
