Fredda Robinson Duke, 96, passed from this life on May 25, 2010 at Many.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dale Poe officiating. Burial will be at Sanders Cemetery in Jasper, Texas, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville, a Dignity Memorial Provider. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. at Hixson’s.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Holt and husband Earl of Hornbeck and Linda Sanders and husband J.W. of Kurthwood; one son, Joe Duke and wife Linda of Pickering; one sister, Alama Lee Yannuzzi of San Antonio; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Fredda was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Duke and her children, Freddie, Don and John Paul, Gloria Jean and Delores Ann.
She was born in Alledredge, Texas to William Robinson and Mae Grigsby Robinson. Fredda was a cook for 15 years at West and East Leesville Schools.
