Funeral services for Brian Lee Foote, 51, will be held a 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Chance officating.
Interment will follow at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Florien.
Mr. Foote was born on April 23, 1957 in Lowell, Mass. and passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009 at Byrd Regional Hospital, Leesville.
He is preceded by his father, Thomas Joseph Schmeltzer and wife Martha Jean Foote.
He is survived by his son, Sammy Foote and wife, Wanda of Anacoco; stepson, Delane Johnson and wife, Cindy of Florien; two stepdaughters, Tina Johnson and fiance' Mark Martinkus of Anacoco and Reneta Geoghagan and husband, Bob of Many; mother, Lorraine Teresa Schmeltzer of Leesville; three sisters, Linda Smith of Leesville, Becky Riley and husband, Doug of New Castle, Del. and Carol Tachibana and husband, Tagh of Fort Rucker, Ala.; two brothers, David Foote of Leesville  and Tommy Foote of Tennessee; 12 grandchildren, one great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Johnson, Wes Fredieu, Tony Parker, Colby Johnson, Kevin Hickman, Tracy Parker, Mark Martinkus.
