Louisiana Tech Athletics has a full schedule of events slated for this summer as alumni and fans will have the opportunity to show their support at a variety of fan fests and events across north Louisiana over the next few months.

Beginning this weekend, several Bulldogs and Lady Techsters will participate in the 67th annual Louisiana Peach Fest, which is scheduled for June 23-24 in downtown Ruston. Louisiana Tech student-athletes will be at Railroad Park Friday afternoon to meet and take photos with fans before digging in to assist with the peach eating contest at 4 p.m.

On Saturday, members of the Bulldog Football team along with Champ and the cheerleaders will also make an appearance at the Peach Fest before pitching in to help with the peach cobbler eating contest at 8 p.m. that night.

Beginning in the month of July, fans will have several opportunities to show off the red and blue, beginning Saturday, July 15, at Dairy Queen on Sterlington Road in Monroe. LA Tech Athletics is encouraging all Louisiana Tech fans to make an appearance at one of its preferred partners Dairy Queen at lunchtime for a chance to show off their Bulldog pride with enter-to-win contests, a live radio remote and more slated for the day. LA Tech will also hold a lunchtime fan day at Raising Cane’s in Shreveport (Youree Drive) on July 22 and at Dawg House Sports Grill in Ruston on Aug. 3.

On July 29, the Bulldog Blitz is coming home to Ruston as all Louisiana Tech alumni and fans are encouraged to spend an evening with LA Tech Athletics staff members and coaches free of charge at Railroad Park as the Bulldogs and Lady Techsters gear up for the 2017-18 athletic year.

As the Bulldogs gear up for the 2017 football season, LA Tech head coach Skip Holtz and his team will hold a pair of Fan Fest events in August, starting with a practice and meet and greet at Freedom Fields in Shreveport on Saturday, Aug. 19. The Bulldogs will return home the following weekend for its annual Ruston Fan Fest on Aug. 26, which will feature LA Tech’s football, volleyball and soccer teams.
