Beekman 38, Forest 30

FOREST — Kateland Fulmer and Gracie Wooden teamed up for 29 points as Beekman collected a 38-30 road victory over Forest on Tuesday night.

Beekman controlled the early stages, opening up a 16-8 first quarter lead. Fulmer scored eight points on two buckets and 4-of-6 free throws to help the Lady Tigers gain the quick advantage.

Up 25-16 at the half, the Lady Tigers saw their lead shrink to 30-24 at the end of three.

Wooden accounted for four points as Beekman outscored the Lady Bulldogs 8-6 in the final frame.

Fulmer topped the Lady Tigers' scoring chart with 15 points on 7-of-10 free throw shooting. Wooden was next with 14 points and three assists. Jesci Lord, Kasadee Armfield and Alexis Crumley wrapped up the scoring with three apiece. Armfield grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds and Lord snared nine, including seven on the offensive end.

Forest (2-8) received eight points from Destinee Grimes, seven from Kareley Alviza, five from Shanta Chatman, four each from McKinzie Franklin and Caroline Kelly, and two from Crystal Creten.

Beekman shot 12-of-48 (25 percent) and 14-of-27 (51.8 percent) from the line.

The Lady Tigers (4-3) are idle until Tuesday, Dec. 12 when they host St. Frederick at 6 p.m.
