In what was a record-setting season for the Rosepine Lady Eagle softball team, the honors keep rolling in. The Louisiana Softball Coaches Association selected both junior pitcher Christina Hamilton and senior outfielder Roslyn Davis to their annual Class 2A all-state team. Hamilton, who has already committed to Louisiana State University, was one of four pitchers selected to the all-state team, along with Evangel's Emily Rousseau, Pine Prairie's Courtney Townsend and Laura Ricciardone of Pope John Paul II. Hamilton went 33-3 in the circle this season for the Lady Eagles, with a 0.33 earned run average. She faced a total of 880 batters in 232 innings of work, striking out 452 of them, while walking only 39. She tossed 20 shutouts in the season, including three in the playoffs, while firing three no-hitters, one of which was a perfect game. She also had a game where she struck out 32 batters, but lost. Offensively, Hamilton was just as lethal with a .510 batting average. She had a total of 52 hits on the season, including 12 doubles and 12 home runs. She drove in 42 runs and scored 44 times. Hamilton was one of the key reasons why Rosepine reached the Class 2A state finals for the first time in school history. Davis was another key performer in Rosepine's run to the finals as she had a total of 25 hits on the season, batting .352. She had 17 RBIs and 17 runs scored as she batted in the seventh spot in the order. Joining Davis in the LSCA's all-state outfield were the Evangel duo of Bailey Boggs and Jackie Victoriano, South Beauregard's Katelynn Goodman and Riverside's Heidi Garcich. The catchers selected to the team were Evangel's Alex Kirkikis, South Beauregard's Savannah Havard, Riverside's Katie Bailey and Jeanne Delaup of Pope John Paul II. The Pine Prairie duo of Emily Marcantel and Katie Reed were chosen as infielders on the team along with the Pope John Paul II pair of Meghan Collins and Michelle Pontiff. Samantha Davenport of Sacred Heart of Ville Platte was also named to the all-state infield, along with South Beauregard's Tiffany Havard. Kenneth "Skip" Pickle of Kinder was named the Coach of the Year.
