The Pitkin Lady Tigers pulled away in the second half, knocking off the Elizabeth Lady Bulldogs in non-district hoops action on Tuesday, 66-45.
With the win, the Lady Tigers improved to 13-11 overall as they prepare for their District 5-B opener on Jan. 5 against Hornbeck on the road.
The Lady Tigers owned a 13-11 lead after one quarter of play and held a 28-22 advantage at the intermission.
Pitkin used an 18-10 run in the third quarter to open up a 46-32 lead going into the final frame of play.
The Lady Tigers put together a 20-13 surge over the final eight minutes to secure the victory.
Karli West continued her torrid scoring pace, notching 17 points in the win, while Megan Ford and Katie White finished with 14 and 11 points, respectively.
Karli Rea led Elizabeth with 12 points.

HICKS — The Hornbeck tandem of Breanna Poston and Shawna Boose combined for 43 points as the Lady Hornets improved to 28-3 on the season with a 67-27 win over former district rival Hicks.
Poston led Hornbeck, which plays its District 5-B opener on Jan. 5 at home against Pitkin, with 26 points, while Boose added 17 points.
Hicks dropped to 6-16 overall and will not play again until the Evans Tournament, which is set Jan. 7-9.

HATHAWAY — The Hathaway Lady Hornets had three players score in double figures Tuesday night, knocking off the Anacoco Lady Indians in a non-district contest, 42-28.
With the win, the Lady Hornets improved to 15-5 overall, while the Lady Indians are 5-10 on the season.
Hathaway owned an 8-4 lead after the first quarter and took a 19-13 advantage into the intermission.
The Lady Hornets pulled away in the second half to get the victory.
Jami Leblanc had 14 points to lead Hathaway, while Kelsey Fontenot and Hannah Miller added 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Amber Sharp had seven points to pace Anacoco, which plays at home on Jan. 5 in district action against Rosepine.

Merryville got 23 points from Rayne Cournoyer, while Katelyn Phillips also had 23 points in the contest. Lindsey Branch added 13 points.
Kylee Cook had 10 points to lead Evans, which plays at Converse on Saturday. Kim Harvey chipped in with eight points.

ROSEPINE — The East Beauregard Lady Trojans continued their winning ways on Tuesday with a 67-15 victory over the Rosepine Lady Eagles in a District 4-2A contest.
East Beauregard (12-3, 2-0) took a 22-2 lead early and never looked back.
Carlee Reeves paced the Lady Trojans with 22 points, while Carli Graham added 15 points. Megan Fox chipped in with 11 points, while Alyson Simmons notched 10 points.
Rosepine (1-14, 0-1) got seven points from Karly Bosley.
