The Leesville Lady Cats had two easy games this weekend at the annual Bunkie Tournament, clobbering both the hosting Lady Panthers and the Lady Bears of Block High School.
With the two wins, Leesville improved to 3-1 heading into a Tuesday road contest against Rosepine.

The Leesville Lady Cats raced out to a huge lead early, then turned up the defensive pressure in the second half of a 59-17 pasting of the Bunkie Lady Panthers on Thursday evening.
The Lady Cats jumped out to a 20-3 lead at the end of the first eight minutes, but saw Bunkie come to life in the second period to get to within 16 points at the halftime intermission, 31-15.
The Lady Panthers would score just two points in the second half, including being shut out completely in the third quarter.
Leesville used a 16-0 run in the third to take a 47-15 advantage into the final eight minutes, where the Lady Cats closed out with a 12-2 run to cruise to the easy victory.
Tiffany Wallace led the way with 19 points for the Lady Cats, while Elexus Featherstone added 10 points. Chelsea Martin and Ashley Hoecker scored seven points each, while Jasmine Wright finished with six points.
Asia James paced Bunkie with six points.

The Block Lady Bears offered Leesville more of a challenge on Friday, but the result was the same as the Lady Cats picked up another easy victory, 67-36.
The Lady Cats found themselves locked in quite a battle with the Lady Bears in the first period, only up by three points heading into the second period, 14-11.
But Leesville began to find its groove during the second quarter, going on a 16-6 run to open up a 30-17 advantage at the break.
The Lady Cats put the game out of reach in the second half, outscoring Block, 37-19, over the final 16 minutes.
A 21-9 surge in the third gave Leesville a 51-26 lead heading into the final frame.
Wallace led Leesville with 24 points, while Martin finished with 16 points.
