The Lady Panthers responded with a quick 6-0 run, getting a basket each from Brittany Maddox, Jessy Morvant and Reagan Maricle. A basket from Kendra Slaughter allowed Hornbeck to get back to within one, 9-8, only to see Maricle score five straight points, which included a three-pointer from the right wing for a 14-8 Fairview advantage. A basket from Shawna Boose and a layup from Caitlyn Gentry kept Hornbeck within three points of the lead, but a shot from Taylor Maricle in the waning seconds of the first period gave Fairview a 17-12 lead. Thanks to some hot shooting from Maddox and Natosha Morvant, the Lady Panthers were able to build a 16-point lead in the second period, which ended with Hornbeck getting a three-pointer from Kaitlyn Fields to get to within 13 points, 39-26. Hornbeck managed to get to within 11 points during the third period, only to see Fairview go on a 12-2 run to end the frame, taking a 55-34 lead into the final eight minutes. The Lady Hornets cut the deficit to 17 points about midway through the four period on a bucket from Boose, but the Lady Panthers began to pull away again behind Maddox and Reagan Maricle, eventually claiming a 24-point win after leading by as much as 29 points. Reagan Maricle led Fairview with 25 points, despite playing the second half with an injured elbow.
