The Hornbeck Lady Hornets and Pickering Lady Red Devils each posted sweeps Thursday in Hornbeck Summer League Basketball action.
The Lady Hornets knocked off Leesville and Anacoco, while Pickering swept past Anacoco and Many. Many and Leesville each beat Converse on Thursday as well.
The league returns to play on Tuesday and Thursday, beginning each day at 3 p.m.

The Anacoco Lady Indians jumped out to a quick five-point lead, only to see the Pickering Lady Red Devils rally for a 19-point victory in the opening game on Thursday, 41-22.
Amber Sharp converted on a three-point play to open the scoring for Anacoco and Brittany Merchant followed up with a layup off of a turnover, giving the Lady Indians a five-point edge.
After a bucket from Pickering's Sami Thomas, the Lady Indians got another basket from Merchant, pushing Anacoco back up to a five-point advantage.
Aaliyah Sheppard scored for Pickering and Thomas followed up with free throws to get the Lady Red Devils to within one, only to see Sharp net a short jumper for a 9-6 edge.
But it was all Pickering after that.
Beginning with a layup from Thomas, Pickering closed out the first half on a 17-2 run, which saw Nastasha Webber and Katherine Brinkley get in on the scoring as the Lady Red Devils owned a 23-11 cushion at the half.
It was more of the same in the second half as Pickering got points from Drucilla Rudolph and Ashley Sheppard, while Anacoco saw Emma McCormack and Hilary Kees reach the scoring column as the Lady Red Devils cruised to the win.
Thomas led all scorers with 17 points, while Webber and Aaliyah Sheppard finished with eight and six, respectively.
Sharp had 11 points to lead Anacoco, while Merchant finished with seven points.

In perhaps the most entertaining game of the Thursday session, the Leesville Lady Cats and Hornbeck Lady Hornets were never more than four points apart from each other.
In the end, the Lady Hornets got a late three-pointer from Kaitlyn Fields and a bucket in the paint from Breanna Poston to come away with a 38-34 victory over Leesville.
The lead changed hands eight times in the opening half. Leesville took the initial lead of the game on a three-point play by standout Tiffany Wallace, only to see Hornbeck answer with a bucket each from Fields and Laken Baggs for a 4-3 Lady Hornet edge.
Leesville retook the lead on a bucket from Malachi McQueen, but a three-pointer from Fields allowed Hornbeck to go up by two points.
Destiny Broom tied things up again, but a layup by Nikki Manes gave Hornbeck the lead again.
Back-to-back baskets from McQueen pushed Leesville into the lead, but Laken and Haley Baggs converted on back-to-back hoops for a 13-11 Hornbeck advantage.
The lead changed hands one more time and the Lady Hornets eventually owned a 20-19 edge at the intermission.
Hornbeck and Leesville continued to battle in the second half, but late in the period, the Lady Cats got a three-point play from Broom to take a 32-29 lead over the Lady Hornets.
Quick baskets from Shawna Boose and Manes allowed Hornbeck to regain the advantage, but a bucket from Darashai Brock saw Leesville take the lead at 34-33.
With under a minute remaining, the Lady Cats missed a chance at the free throw line to score and Fields made them pay with a three-pointer from the left corner for a 36-34 Hornbeck cushion.
A little later, Poston added a bucket in the paint for the final margin of victory.
Fields led 10 Hornbeck players in scoring with eight, while Manes finished with six points. Poston, Laken Baggs and Haley Baggs added four points each.
McQueen paced Leesville with 10 points, while Wallace had nine points. Broom chipped in with five points.

The Pickering Lady Red Devils took advantage of a 16-2 run in the first half to open up a huge lead en route to a 30-15 victory over the Many Lady Tigers.
The Lady Red Devils trailed early on, 5-2. But beginning with back-to-back baskets from Aaliyah Sheppard, Pickering began to take over.
Katherine Brinkley scored four straight points after Sheppard to allow Pickering to go up, 10-5. A little later, Sami Thomas scored on back-to-back opportunities, pushing the Lady Red Devils out to a nine-point edge.
Sheppard scored once again late in the half and Drucilla Rudolph contributed a bucket as the Lady Red Devils owned an 18-7 edge at the break.
Many was unable to find the range in the second half a Pickering led by as many as 17 points in the second half. The Lady Red Devils got some scoring off the bench from Hannah Medlin en route to the win.
Sheppard, Brinkley and Thomas all had eight points for Pickering, while Rudolph had four points and Medlin with two points.

The Hornbeck Lady Hornets scored 14 of the game's first 16 points en route to a 36-11 win over former district rival Anacoco.
Breanna Poston converted on a three-point play to open the scoring, while Kendra Slaughter added a bucket for a 5-0 Hornbeck lead.
Amber Sharp got Anacoco on the board with a shot, but the Lady Hornets scored the next nine points, including four from Nikki Manes, to open up a 14-2 advantage.
Sharp hit a three-pointer and Brittany Merchant added a short jumper to get the Lady Indians to within seven points, 14-7. However, Caitlyn Gentry and Stormie Pollock each nailed a shot to give Hornbeck an 18-7 cushion at the intermission.
The Lady Hornets scored the first 10 points of the second half to take a 28-7 lead. But Nicole Wenthe broke the scoring drought for Anacoco with a bucket, cutting the deficit to 19 points.
However, the Lady Hornets got six of their final eight points from Megan Martelle to claim the victory.
Poston led Hornbeck with seven points, while Martelle was next with six points. In all, the Lady Hornets had 10 different players score.
Sharp had seven points to pace Anacoco, while Wenthe and Merchant added two each.

In the biggest blowout of the day, the Leesville Lady Cats had no trouble dispatching of the Converse Lady Wildcats, 52-17.
Leesville raced out to a 19-2 advantage at the end of the first 15-minute half as Wallace had 13 points in the opening frame.
But perhaps what was most impressive was the Leesville defense, which held Converse to no field goals, with the only two points being scored on a free throw.
The Lady Wildcats managed to score 13 points in the second half, but Leesville was even more lethal on offense with a 33-point outburst in the frame.
Along with Wallace, the Lady Cats got points from Malachi McQueen, Darashai Brock, Destiny Broom, Chelsea Martin and Jasmine Wright.
Wallace led Leesville with 23 points, while McQueen netted 17 points, even showing her range with a three-pointer and a long-range two-pointer.
Wright finished with six points, while Martin, Brock and Broom each added two points.
