Leesville man arrested for aggravated assault, battery
Arnold Blackwell, 52, of Leesville, was arrested on one count of second degree battery and one count of aggravated assault on June 27. The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Department said that police were called after Blackwell caused a disturbance at a neighboring residence; police later learned that Blackwell had assaulted one victim in the process. His bond was set at $10,000.
Myrlene Kitchen, 48, of Anacoco was arrested and charged with one count of disturbing the peace while intoxicated, criminal damage to property, aggravated battery, resisting arrest and battery of a police officer on June 22. According to the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Department, police were called to a woman causing a disturbance and damaging property, and when police arrived, Kitchen then refused arrest and fought with officers. Her bond was not set.
Robert Gierisch, 19, of Leesville, was arrested on June 21 on two counts of improper telephone communication. The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Department said that on two occasions, Gierisch called individuals and made numerous threats. Gierisch's bond was set at $10,000.
