Dear Editor,

The Humane Society of West Louisiana has worked tirelessly to combat the abuse, neglect, and abandonment of animals the past 15 years.
Although we are called the Humane Society, we are not affilictaed with the Humane Society of the United States, and operate independently.
We are a small, non-profit organization who depend upon financial support to continue our work.
One of our goals is to end pet overpopulation with education, and try to impose upon the public to spay and neuter their pets.
Pet ownership is a huge responsibility. When people allow their pets to breed and dump the litters, we find our adoption center overflowing with unwanted animals.
When someone tires of their pet and leaves it on the side of the road, the animal is lucky if it survives long enough to be rescued.
We appreciate the support we have received from the community in the past years, and we appeal to you to let us continue to help the animals.
All donations to HSWL are tax deductible. Please help.

Thank you,
Mz Rita, Adoption Coordinator
