Emily is the daughter of Tony McDonald of Leesville and Karon Skaer of Toledo Bend, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Kenneth and Tommie Jean Williams of Leesville and Tom and Sarah McDonald of Valley, Ala.

Her fiancé is the son of Charles Scofield of Kissee Mills, Mo. and Sharon Scofield of Baton Rouge. He is the grandson of the late Ralph and Ruth Scofield of Wichita, Kan. and the late John and Kathy Montroy of Bella Vista, Ark.

Emily is a graduate of Leesville High School, class of 1996, Northwestern State University, class of 2000 and Eastern Washington University, class of 2003. She is a Pediatric Physical Therapist at NeuroTherapy Specialists in Baton Rouge and a member of the Junior League of Baton Rouge.

Her fiancé is a graduate of C. E. Byrd High School, class of 1995, Northwestern State University, class of 1999. He is an Accounts Manager at Bayou Medical Management in Baton Rouge and a member of the Red Stick Area Kickball League.
