We've loved the John Hughes movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles since the first minute we saw it back in 1987. Now that Thanksgiving is just around the corner, we thought we'd give you a few things you might not have know about that movie.

For instance, did you know the make and model of the car John Candy rents? You probably think you do, but we bet your guess is wrong.

It's got a lot to do with why none of the transportation companies in the movie -- from the airline to the train to the rental car company where Steve Martin loses it in the greatest customer rant of all time -- have actual company names.

There's a whole lot more to love about the planes, the trains, the cars and even the houses in this killer comedy.

Have a great Thanksgiving, stay out of trouble on the highway and don't forget to check back with BestRide.com for more cool car stuff.
