The Leesville Lady Cats, champions of District 3-II, will open the Division II soccer playoffs in the friendly confines of Wampus Cat Stadium against Cabrini of New Orleans.

The Lady Cats (15-3-5) drew the No. 11 seed in the Division II bracket and will host 22nd-ranked Cabrini in a matchup scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Leesville marched through district play unbeaten, closing out with a mark of 7-0-1.

With a victory, the Lady Cats would likely face No. 6 Teurlings Catholic in the second round with a possible quarterfinal matchup with No. 3 Ben Franklin.

Two of its district mates — the DeRidder Lady Dragons and the Bolton Lady Bruins — also made the postseason draw and will play against each other. The Lady Dragons are the No. 15 seed and will take on No. 18 Bolton by Friday at Cecil Doyle Memorial Stadium in DeRidder. The winner will likely play No. 2 St. Thomas More.
