The second annual Pirates Baseball Golf Tournament will be held at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Warrior Hills Golf Course at Fort Polk.

The second annual Pirates Baseball Golf Tournament will be held at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Warrior Hills Golf Course at Fort Polk.

This is a two-man scramble with all proceeds raised benefitting the Hicks High School baseball program, according to head coach Gary Williams.

Registration will begin that morning at 7:15 a.m. at the course, with the tournament beginning at 8 a.m. sharp. The cost for the event is $50 per player, which equals out to $100 per team as this is a two-man scramble competition.

The entry fee includes an 18-hole round of golf, cart, lunch and a free raffle ticket to door prizes for each players. There are a number of exciting items to be drawn for and there will be awards given in the tournament to players for the longest drive, closest to the pin and first and second-place team honors

To make things easier, those interested in playing are asked to pre-register by calling either Williams at 337-718-2392 or the golf course at 337-531-4661.

If there are any businesses or individuals that would like to sponsor a hole at $50 a hole or to donate items for the raffle, you may contact Williams as well.
