1 - You can learn all you really need to know about buts at Getting Buggy at Kent House in Alexandria Saturday. Good bugs, bad bugs, UGLY bugs! See which bugs come out at night or only in summer, learn about butterflies. Check out the huge hissing cockroaches and lizards. You can even EAT a bug and proudly wear your free button to show the world you are not afraid! Crafts available for the kids as well as food and drink available for purchase. This family friendly event is fun for everyone from age one to one hundred. Admission is $1 for everyone over age 4. The Kent Plantation House is at located 3601 Bayou Rapides Rd. on Alexandria’s west side, so you don’t even have to drive onto MacArthur Dr. or beyond. Organizers say the Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. event will be held rain or shine In case of rain it will be moved inside the Visitor Center.

2 - The Fleur de lis Art and Crafts Festival will be Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Events Center in downtown Natchitoches. There will be a full display of Southern Clay Work pottery along with more than 100 other Arts and Craft vendors.

3 - Grammy and Dove Award-winning recording artist Guy Penrod will perform in concert at 7 p.m.

Saturday in the Leesville High School auditorium. Seating is General Admission, with advance tickets $20 and door price $25. They can be purchased at the Galilean Christian Book Store. Some seats are still available so bring your family and enjoy.
