1 - Stay cool and go to the Natchitoches/NSU Folk Festival today and Saturday in Prather Coliseum on the NSU campus. Music, food, crafts, champion fiddlers and much more are on the schedule. On Saturday, Bill Romano, Amelia Ryland and Tommy Ike Hailey will be playing all original music from 12:30-2:00 p.m. It’s gonna be a blast! And it’s air conditioned. See Page 3 for more.

2 - Walk with Style! Carve your own walking stick, from start to finish! James Turner will demonstrate how to carve your own walking stick. The workshop will be hosted by the Museum of the New Llano Colony on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. All materials will be supplied by volunteer instructors and/or Vernon Parish Tourism. Space is limited, so hop to it and call 337-238-1185 to reserve your spot.

3 - Yippee ki-yay! The Wagon Wheel Riding Club will be hosting a 5D Barrel Racing Fundraiser from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. at the Leesville FairGrounds. Books open at 5 p.m. Exhibitions start at 5:30. 3D youth (18 and under) start at 7 p.m. and 5D Open immediately after youth. It is free to watch and all proceeds go to benefit the Wagon Wheel Riding Club. Take your family and have fun.
