The Louisiana Sports Writers Association announced its Class 4A All-State Team Thursday morning, and many local athletes were represented as some of the best in the state.

The DeRidder baseball team finished second in the state and multiple Dragons were recognized by the LSWA.

Outfielder Cameron LeJeune hit .392 during his junior year to earn a spot on the all-state team, and pitcher Chipper Menard made the team as a utility player.

Senior pitcher Dakota Courtney has an honorable mention selection.

The state champion Lady Dragons got two players on the all-state team, while head coach Todd Schulz picked up Coach of the Year honors.

Senior pitcher Lauren Parson went 17-7 in her final season at DeRidder to earn her spot on the LSWA team, and Kailey LeFrere hit .368 to make the team as an outfielder.

Taylor Cobb, Brooklyn Green, and Aubrey Joslin were all honorable mention selections.

For Leesville, pitcher Jonathan Harmon and outfielder Tristian Doyle were honorable mention picks.

The Lady Cats picked up four players on the honorable mention team: Lauren Kreyenbuhl, Bella Houck, Zakayla Collins and Keyana Poteat.
