Two Leesville students have been selected to receive scholarships from House of Raeford Farms Scholarship Program.
Cassie Hayden, daughter of Eric Hayden of the Leesville division, attending Florence-Darlington Technical College and Nathan Hayden, son of Eric Hayden of the Leesville division, attending the Citadel have both been awarded scholarships for their future education or professional endeavors.
The students were selected based on a set of competitive criteria, including academic record, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience and a statement of goals and aspirations.
“It has always been one of my goals to instill in a child the confidence that they can accomplish their dreams with hard work and determination. This scholarship program is a part of House of Raeford’s long-held commitment to encourage and foster our youth,” House of Raeford Farms CEO & Owner Bob Johnson said. “It’s also commitment to our employees and their families. Through this program, we’re able to say thank you to our employees for their dedication to our company by investing in their children’s goals for the future.”
Since its launch in 2014, this scholarship fund has helped students pursue their academic and professional goals by awarding over $187,500 in scholarships to 75 students across six states.
A total of 18 students received scholarships this year.
