Walmart teamed up with the Louisiana Lady Storm basketball team to provide support during their past season, allowing the team to use the supercenter as a site for their fundraisers.

The proceeds went towards the team’s travels to various NCAA sanctioned tournaments.

Thanks to Walmart’s support, the Louisiana Lady Storm AAU team were able to go on to achieve two runner up finishes and one championship in three NCAA sanctioned tournaments: the Big Time Hoops tournament and Big Foot Hoops Tournament in Houston, Texas, as well as the Elite Hoops Showcase in Dallas.

“They have always been so gracious to allow the local teams in the area to raise money at the door,” Head Coach James Day said. “They continue to support these young ladies not just in learning the game of basketball, but also life lessons such as hard work, dedication, respect and how to become leaders of the community.”

At this moment, their combined record stands at 11 wins to two losses, making it to the championship game in each of their first three tournaments. Their two game losses consist of a combined 5 points.

They are set to play this weekend, July 21, at the Primetime Sports Summer Showcase in Houston, Texas. They will then travel to Dallas, Texas during the weekend of July 28 for the Elite High School Girls Showcase Tournament at the Drive Nation Sports facility.
