Those looking for a break from the sun’s harsh rays will find a break from the heat as a cool front blows through.

The Fall season has officially begun and residents will start to notice cooler high and low temperatures this week, according to and the National Weather Service.

In addition to the cooler temperatures, there will be cloudy skies and wet weather. Many weather models are forecasting thunderstorms starting as early as Monday.

While chances for thunderstorms will be near 80 percent for the early part of this week, the latter half of the week is predicted to bring the cool front that many residents are waiting for.

Temperatures will range from the lower 80s to the upper 60s by Wednesday, with scattered showers predicted through the weekend.

The lower temperatures look to be more than a passing fad, as many weather models predict that low temperatures will drop into the low 60s by next week.
