Two more people have been arrested and charged in relation to the savage beating of 73-year-old Truman Doyle, of Pitkin.
The Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) has announced that Dixon Kraig Fife, 22, and Jennifer Buffalohead, 25, both of Elton, have been arrested and charged with Accessory after the fact to Second-Degree Robbery.
According to APSO Sheriff Doug Hebert, both suspects have been booked into the Allen Parish Jail.
Doyle was found by Coushatta Tribal Police on Dec. 10. He was found lying on the side of the road in Oberlin near Highway 26.
He was initially unable to give many details to the crime, but police discovered that his assailants had stolen his wallet, $2000, and his 2002 Ford truck.
Doyle had been savagely beaten by his assailants with a severe laceration to the back of the head.
Due to the diligence of the deputies during the investigation, and surveillance camera footage, Leah Langley and Gerald Artis were arrested last week for their involvement in the crime.
Langley was charged with Second Degree Robbery, Carjacking, Cruelty to the Infirmed, Theft over $750 and under $5000, Accessory After the Fact of Aggravated Battery, and Criminal Conspiracy to Theft.
Artis was charged with Second Degree Robbery, Aggravated Second Degree Battery, Cruelty to the Infirmed, and Criminal Conspiracy to Theft. Both are currently in the Allen Parish Jail.
