A new coffee house café concept is set to open in downtown Leesville. Orleans Brews and Beignets, a New Orleans themed café, will debut their Creole cuisine with a soft opening on Monday, January 7.

This is the second Orleans Brews and Beignets café for owners Heidi and Micah Stampley. Their first one is located in Atlanta and has been serving their authentic Creole recipes for two years.

Heidi, a 1995 graduate of Leesville High School, said that they decided to bring a second location to Leesville because when they come to visit family they cannot find their favorite foods to eat.

They searched a little bit and found their location, 114 S. 3rd St., and it felt right to her. The location was perfect and it was easy to transform it, giving it a French Quarter feel.

They chose to have a soft opening to give their nine employees time to get comfortable using the ordering system and to works through the kinks. They are planning to have a grand opening toward the end of January.

Orleans Brews and Beignets will feature coffee, tea and espresso and they are known for their Beignets.

The Leesville location will be managed by her parents, Walita and Ronald Jones.
