Sheriff Sam Craft of the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of Tyrone Marshall Jr., age 28, of Leesville. Marshall was arrested on February 5 and was a result of an investigation by the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force.
The Narcotics Task Force launched an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics within the parish. The investigation was conducted by agents with the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force.
Agents executed a search warrant at a residence located on Frances Street in New Llano.
The agents were able to take Tyrone Marshall Jr. into custody without incident.
During the search of the residence Agents located in excess of 300 grams of Marijuana, 20+ grams of Heroin, 15+ grams of Cocaine, Ecstasy tablets, and Xanax.
Marshall was booked into the Vernon Parish Jail and charged with one count of Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Narcotic (Ecstasy & Heroin) with the Intent to Distribute, and one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (Cocaine) with the Intent to Distribute.
Bond has not been set and Marshall remains in the VPSO jail.
