Women across the world are working to find their voices in everyday life, and one local woman is doing her part to make sure any woman who needs help succeeding as an entrepreneur has support.

Becky Fejarang, of DeRidder, has started a group called ‘Elevate Women in Business’ in hopes of providing local businesswomen with help and support to achieve their goals and thrive in the community.

“When I decided to become a full-time entrepreneur, I was looking for groups to join for education, networking and support. We quickly realized our community was lacking and in desperate need of this type of a group,” Fejarang said. “Elevate Women in Business was created as a way to offer our local female small business owners a community to connect to and support each other in the world of entrepreneurship.”

The idea for the group was born from Fejarang’s relationship with her advisor.

“My mentor (Chastity Marie) helped me visualize the group and how to go about getting it started once I found out DeRidder didn’t have a group like this,” Fejarang said.

The group meets monthly to provide tips and tricks on all things business as well as how to look after yourself and not get burnt out.

Fejarang explains that she created the group as a way for women to connect, as “networking is one of the most powerful tools for professional women and even more so for women in the entrepreneurial world.”

“The purpose of this group is to make connections, provide education on subjects needed, ask advice and have a supportive group of like-minded business women around you to back you and cheer for you,” Fejarang explained.

“Being a solopreneur can be lonely working on your own all the time. Sometimes there isn’t anyone to discuss business with or share your dreams and desires with, or explore educational needs, or even discuss brick walls we may encounter. This group provides a place to do just that,” Fejarang said. “We strive to build a sisterhood together and create an amazing place where we can all support one another.”

So far the group has met twice.

In February, the theme was “Mastermind Event: Protect Your Peace & Measuring your Belief” with Chastity Marie, motivational speaker and Multi-Million dollar team leader in direct sales from the Dallas, Texas, area, as a guest speaker.

In March the group learned about “The Basics of Instagram for Your Business” from guest speaker Candy Olivares, social media strategist.

The next meetings are: April: Tea Time Social May: Small Business Taxes (Schedule C) June:  Vision Board — A Powerful Tool To Manifest Your Life Desires – Part 1 July: Vision Board – Part 2

Fejarang and her group are still adding members. “If you looking for support on getting your business off the ground, building your brand, needing questions answered on anything you are stuck on, or just wanting to provide support to others with your unique gifts and talents while looking to cultivate meaningful relationships with other women in business by being a part of a community, you are welcome to join us,” she said.
