A recent announcement made by Kansas City Southern gives Leesville residents a holiday treat to look forward to this December.
Kansas City Southern has announced that this year the Holiday Express will make a stop in Leesville as part of its annual ride across the country. The Holiday Express will make its stop in Leesville on December 7th at 4 p.m. at 901 South Third Street.
The KCS Holiday Express is a six-car train that gives visitors the chance to look at beautiful displays in each car and visit with Santa Claus. The events are completely free and open to the public.
The Holiday Express announced its complete 2019 schedule and it listed other Louisiana cities that it would be stopping at as well. The other stops include Coushatta, Zwolle, Westlake, DeQuincy, Mansfield, and Shreveport.
“This special tradition brings people together, strengthens community ties and supports our corporate values," said KCS President and Chief Executive Officer Patrick Ottensmeyer in a press release.
The Holiday Express brings Christmas cheer to countless communities and raises millions for the Salvation Army every year. This is the 18th year that Kansas City Southern has brought the Holiday Express across the country, and it continues to delight people of all ages.
