Anacoco High School employees gathered outside of Anacoco High on Thursday to thank the linemen from Northstar as they headed back home to Texas.

School employees gathered outside clapping as the linemen proceeded to drive away, many of the linemen beeping their horns as a sign of farewell.

For many, linemen from out of state have become a normal and welcome sight as they worked hard to restore power to the area.

"Anacoco school employees just gave Northstar linemen a parade send-off as they get to go back home to Texas this morning. I think they became part of our community," stated Wanda Toney on her Facebook video that has been shared over 80 times.

The video shows the employees clapping as the trucks pull out of the area on their journey home after being in the area for weeks.

The parade was not planned, just decided by AHS employees after arriving at school and learning of Northstar's departure.

"Once again we want to thank the linemen from Northstar out of Texas who came and helped restore electricity in our area. I know our community would have had A HUGE send off for them. We didn't know until after we got to school this morning or we could have planned one," stated Toney on the video.
