FEMA MRICs at Shady Grove, South Beauregard to remain open through the weekend

FEMA continues to help Laura survivors.

According to FEMA, the MRICs at Shady Grove Pentecostal Church (2934 Hwy. 26, DeRidder) and South Beauregard High School (151 Longville Church Road) will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 28.

Today, Sept. 25, is the final day for the Beauregard Parish Police Jury site (201 West Second Street in DeRidder).

According to FEMA, these drive-through registration centers are an easy and COVID-safe way to provide survivors a way to perform initial registration, some technical assistance on current registrations, and to have documents scanned into their case files.

These centers operate under strict COVID-19 protocols to ensure visitors are safe. Masks or face coverings are required for entry and service. Survivors remain in their cars. A specialist wearing a face mask will receive documents through the window and return them.
