Fort Polk commemorates Month of the Military Child
In April, we celebrate the military child. Month of the Military Child is a time to applaud military families and their children for the daily sacrifices they make and the challenges they overcome.
Child Abuse Prevention Month is held each April to increase awareness about the importance of preventing child abuse and neglect.
It also serves as a time to remember those who have suffered, as well as a reminder to continue the important work to help kids and Families stay safe and be strong.
April 1st the children of JRTC and Fort Polk planted pinwheels around the installation.
Pinwheels represent childlike whimsy and lightheartedness and our vision for a world where all children grow up happy, healthy, and prepared to succeed in supportive families and communities.
