The Louisiana Department of Health issues weekly updates on reported COVID-19 cases in schools, including adults and students.

Totals have reset for this academic year.

See how each parish fares.

Across the state, 916 new student cases were reported Oct. 3-10, as were 85 new cases among adults.

The reports tell how many schools in a parish have agreed to provide updates but do not give a specific district or campus breakdown of positive cases.

As of the Oct. 13 LDH report, the parishes with the highest totals in student cases are:

  • St. Tammany: 2,051
  • Rapides: 1,391
  • Orleans: 1,249
  • Lafayette: 1,166
  • Livingston: 1,101

The parishes with the most student cases reported Oct. 3-10 are:

  • Rapides: 121
  • St. Tammany: 64
  • Orleans: 62
  • Lafayette: 51
  • Bossier: 51

  • St. Tammany: 250
  • Livingston: 199
  • Lafayette: 161
  • Rapides: 142
  • Orleans: 140

The parishes with the most cases reported Oct. 3-10 among adults are:

  • Rapides: 9
  • Lafayette: 8
  • Calcasieu: 7
  • St. Tammany: 5
  • Caldwell: 5
