The Vernon Parish School Board announced on April 23 their Continuous Learning Plans as well as their technology plans to issue students without access devices.

The learning plans for grades K-12:

1. Teachers will contact students one time per week giving them enrichment activities

for the week. This will be documented on the previous released template. This

contact can be made through GOOGLE classroom, Remind 101, or phone calls.

2. Assignments will be given through online resources.

3. If a student does not have online capabilities, then paper assignments can be emailed

to the principal for printing. These will be put in envelopes with the student's name

on them and placed in a student pickup area outside the building on Tuesday.

4. Teachers should set up an office hour time for parents/students to contact them for

help each week. This could be from 10:00-12:00 one day a week, for example.

5. Additional resources will be added to our website on a continuous basis.

The devices are monitored and all device use will be monitored and tracked according to the state and federal applicable laws.
