EBHS rolls past Gueydan, 33-13

GUEYDAN - The East Beauregard Trojans picked up their first win of the season on Friday by running past the Gueydan Bears, 33-13.

And by running, it literally means running. The Trojans had 377 total yards, all on the ground to improve to 1-1. EBHS had five players rush for at least 50 yards in the contest, led by Jacob Gimnich, who had 109 yards and a touchdown on just nine carries.

The Trojans fell behind by a touchdown early, but scored 33 straight points to claim the victory.

EBHS broke into the scoring column as Gage Hildreth reached the endzone on a 6-yard TD run. He would also score the Trojans final two touchdowns from 5 and 3 yards out.

Gimnich scored on a 5-yard run, while Skyler Beebe add a 1-yard TD run as EBHS posted the victory.

Jordan Wilkerson rushed for 87 yards for the Trojans, while Beebe added 69 yards. Hildreth logged 12 carries for 60 yards and three scores, while Jordan Plumley finished with 50 yards on four totes.
